Dear Mother and Dad,

Just  a few lines to let you know where I am at.  I have recently received a transfer which has put me a little ways south.  I am now down in the Lübbecke or (Bielefeld District) in the town of Lübbecke.  It is not a very big place so you will probably have trouble in locating it on a map.  Nevertheless i am in the neighborhood between Hannover and Osnabrück.

To be truthful I have just this minute arrived in this little burg.  I located my house but as yet haven't seen my companion.  From what the Haus Frau says he is out of town at present.  We have two small rooms here but they are vry nice.  As I just said, I just arrived and haven't as yet made a diagnosis or formed an opinion of what sort of a neighborhood I am in.  However from what I have gathered under way today this is vast expanse of farm country which is right next to Holland in looks.

Yesterday I stopped off in Kiel and spent the night with the boys there before continuing my journey down here.  My transfer struck me rather surprisingly becaue I had no idea that I would leave Flensburg before Fall.  My moving away even struck the members quite hard especially the ones with whom we lived.  They surely sent me away with the assurancde that I was well liked there.  As a coincidence, Brother Waldo Huber with whom I worked in the coffee shop at the University, went up to Flensburg to take my place.

My companion is here now and says that we are due to a meeting so I'll have to quit and write you again in a few days.
