Sunday Feby 29+1, 1936
Dear Daughter Jewel,
It is just 10 minutes to one this beautiful Sunday and I am taking a minute before dinner to write you a note and a little money AND to express to you in a note that I am very highly blessed to have such a nice daughter at college to write to. And I do - and know that you will follow the admonition of your mother and all will be well with you.
Baker Wardlow called me in the Barber Shop yesterday and said that he saw you and Lucile in Phoenix Sunday and said that you were looking fine. So keep the good work up and you will put your scrubby Dad on the map yet.
So long daughter,
Mud will write.
OOXX
