This postcard was written by Frederick Bailey Jacobson to his wife Sarah Loella Wright whom he called "Lell". It was written 4 days before he died suddenly of a heart attack while working in Morenci.

I may be home Monday?
Dear Lell,
I arrived at 6:20 and no one was at the office so I found Ike and he took me to Morenci. I put in the shift to 12 when the relief man came and I had no room so stayed in the car 'til an our then went down to the office to check in. Took until noon then I got a room at the Longfellow's Inn, a nice place to stay. I work from 4pm 'til 12. It is only one minute's walk to the job. I was very lucky as men have had hard times to find rooms. I am all ok. Sorry Ray left. Hope he finds something.
